Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for Guinea’s National Highway No. 2 Project

On November 30, 2025, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Guinea National Highway No. 2 Project (102 km), contracted by CBITEC, was held in Soya City, Mamou Province. The Prime Minister of Guinea, along with the Minister of Public Works, the Minister of Mines, the Minister of Youth, and local military and government officials attended the event to witness this important moment.

During the ceremony, the Prime Minister delivered an inspiring speech, expressing high expectations for the project and emphasizing that the construction of the National Highway No. 2 will significantly promote local economic development and improve people’s livelihoods. The Minister of Public Works, the Governor of Mamou Province, and other officials also addressed the audience, extending warm congratulations on the commencement of the project and expressing hope for its early completion to benefit local residents.

Mr. Li Wei, General Manager of CBITEC Guinea Branch, also spoke at the ceremony. He stated that the project team will uphold the principles of “extensive consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits,” and will organize construction with the highest standards and strictest requirements. He emphasized the company’s commitment to safe, high-quality, and efficient project delivery, contributing to the Guinean people a road of reassurance, prosperity, and happiness. After the ceremony, Mr. Li was interviewed by the local television station, where he answered questions regarding the project.

The National Highway No. 2 Project is another major infrastructure project undertaken by CBITEC in Guinea. It holds significant importance for improving local transportation conditions and promoting regional economic development.
