On February 18, 2026 (local time), Guinea’s newly appointed Minister of Infrastructure, Mr. FACINET SYLLA, led a working delegation to inspect the N2 National Road project site.
Minister SYLLA made this road project his first inspection tour after taking office, demonstrating the new Guinean government’s strong commitment to its established strategic priority infrastructure projects. The purpose of the visit was to review construction progress and instruct relevant departments to effectively resolve issues encountered during project implementation.
The Chief Engineer of the International Engineering Division of CBITEC and colleagues from the Guinea branch accompanied the Minister, together with Mr. MORY SANO, Technical Advisor to the Ministry, Mr. MOISE SIDIBE, Director of the Road Administration Bureau, and members of the supervision team throughout the inspection.
During the visit, the Minister listened in detail to a report on the current progress of the project’s production camp construction and road clearing works. Our company also presented feasible proposals regarding challenging issues such as land acquisition, resettlement, and relocation of underground utilities, which received the Minister’s support. The Minister clearly stated that he would mobilize broad coordination and promote inter-ministerial collaboration to help resolve project difficulties. The Employer’s team expressed affirmation of our progress and working approach.
During the joint inspection near the adjacent area of the N2 National Road and the Simandou Railway Economic Corridor, Minister FACINET SYLLA took a commemorative photo with our personnel. He emphasized that the road connecting Mamou and Faranah is a priority infrastructure project under Guinea’s “Simandou 2040 Plan” and required all parties to strictly fulfill their contractual obligations.
Guinea N2 National Road has a total length of 187 kilometers, of which CBITEC is responsible for constructing 102 kilometers. The construction period is 24 months, built to French standards, and financed by the Guinean government. Following Municipal Roads Reconstruction And Rehabilitation Project In Conakry, the University of Sonfonia Project, the Road Project in Conakry Funded by UNOPS, and the N3 National Road Project, this marks another significant strategic achievement resulting from our company’s decade-long deep cultivation in Guinea. It signifies the expansion of our brand presence from the capital to inland provinces, with our social influence extending from coastal areas further into the hinterland.
The execution of the N2 National Road project further demonstrates CBITEC’s efficient construction organization and mobilization capabilities. It will significantly improve inland logistics and transportation conditions, enhance connectivity, reduce regional development disparities, promote economic integration along the route, and improve the overall living standards of local residents.
The CBITEC Guinea team will continue to uphold strong enthusiasm and firm commitment, strictly honor contractual obligations, strive for new achievements in Guinea, and contribute a new chapter to the traditional friendship between China and Guinea.
